CHAPTER 3: BASIC EDITING ■
Figure 3.49 Frame view
However, that frame may not be the one that you need. You can change the
default frame by doing the following:
1. Click the thumbnail icon that you want to change. You might need to enlarge
the thumbnail; to do this, press Ctrl+L/F+L on the keyboard. (You can shrink
them down again by pressing Ctrl+K/F+K.)
2. Use the 1, 2, 3, and 4 buttons on your alphanumeric keyboard as follows:
Key Action
1 Moves the picture 10 frames backward
2 Moves the picture 10 frames forward
3 Moves the picture 1 frame backward
4 Moves the picture 1 frame forward
3. After you choose the correct frame, the bin saves it as the default icon for
that clip.
Underneath each thumbnail icon is the name of the clip. You can arrange the
thumbnails in any order you want. Another method is to press Play or use the J, K,
and L key combinations to get to the proper frame quickly.
Script View
The Script view (shown in Figure 3.50) allows you to combine text, thumbnails, and notes
for each clip. The thumbnail is displayed on the left, the text information is displayed
on top, and there is a large space to type or cut and paste information about the clip.
The Script view isn’t used often, but for some situations it allows you to attach
information inside a bin for clips that may need it for some specialized purpose.
